Can you do first aid courses for free?

All of our online first aid, CPR & AED courses are free and open to anyone who has registered an account with us. Once you’ve completed each course you will receive a free first aid & CPR certificate which you can download and print.

Can I do an online first aid course?

Typically, online first aid courses will explain all of the procedure and knowledge behind administering first aid. Much of this does not require practical application, as the information is around recognising symptoms and understanding what you can do until further, more technical medical help is given.

Are online first aid courses legitimate UK?

Online First Aid courses cannot meet the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981, even if the organisation that is advertising them claims that their course does. Simply put, the HSE do not allow or recognise First Aid training that has been delivered purely online.

Are CPR classes online valid?

Online certification is valid depending on whether or not your employer or accrediting organization says it’s valid. There are employers who accept CPR certification from online providers, and there are those that are strict about only accepting certification from accredited CPR training organizations.

Are online CPR courses valid in Ontario?

Emergency First Aid & CPR/AED Level C certificates, on the other hand, cannot be recertified in Ontario. If you wish to renew this certificate, you will need to register for the full training course again. We highly recommend registering for the Online Blended format of the course.

Can you fail a first aid course UK?

At the end of First Aid courses, you must complete a multiple-choice question paper. If you fail this, you will have one opportunity to retake. If failed a second time, you will need to book and sit the course again, giving you 2 more opportunities to retake.

What will it take for you to learn first aid?

What do you learn in a first aid course?

Responding to Emergencies. One of the most significant things that a first aid course will teach you is how to respond to an emergency.

CPR and AED Training. We see CPR performed on TV and film all the time,and because of it CPR has become seemingly common knowledge.

Wound Care. What do you do if someone has a nail in their foot? How do you care for an intense burn as a result of working in the kitchen?

Choking and Breathing Emergencies. Whether someone is 5 months,15 years,or 50 years old,we all can experience choking.

Poisons. Poisons are deadly,so be properly equipped to deal with them!

Bodily Injuries. As much as we try to keep ourselves safe,accidents happen! We fall,trip,slip,or crash and it can cause some serious bodily harm.

Sudden Medical Emergencies. Most first aid courses will cover the topics identified above,but not every course will dive into the other more sudden medical emergencies.
