How well does Rit Color Remover work?

Rit Color Remover is a great product designed to remove colors from fabrics without having to use harsh chlorine bleach. Regular bleach damages the fibers in fabrics so if you go to re-dye them a different color afterwards, your results may not be consistent or may not turn out how you are expecting them to.

How do you use Rit Color Remover in washing machine?

Wet fabric and place item(s) in the washing machine. Set water temperature to the hottest possible setting and a wash cycle of at least 30 minutes or longer. Mix Color Remover with 4 cups of hot water. If you are removing color from a small load, use 2 packets of Color Remover.

How long does Rit dye remover take?

Wet the item you are going to be removing the color from and add it to the bath. Stir occasionally. Some fabrics will lose their color in as fast as 10 minutes, others can take up to 20 minutes.

Does Rit dye fade?
