What is LDA America?

LDA is the voice for individuals with learning disabilities of all ages and their families, providing support, opportunities and resources to individuals with learning disabilities, their families, educators and other professionals who serve the learning disability community.

How many members does LDA have?

The LDA has nearly 1,900 members. Together, the three groups form as The Power of Three. The Power of Three is an initiative to ensure that members are the central focus of our work at the local, state and national levels.

LDA focuses on finding a feature subspace that maximizes the separability between the groups. While Principal component analysis is an unsupervised Dimensionality reduction technique, it ignores the class label. PCA focuses on capturing the direction of maximum variation in the data set.

What is LDA used for?

LDA is mainly used in classification problems where you have a categorical output variable. It allows both binary classification and multi-class classification. The standard LDA model makes use of the Gaussian Distribution of the input variables.
