What does cut compound do?
Cutting compound works to remove the top layers of the paint finish. It can be used to rejuvenate the paint in a variety of ways: Polishing out paint scratches and swirl marks. Removing paint transfers and stains on your paint surface.
Does cutting compound remove clear coat?

How do you use Essence Plus?
Via Dual Action Polisher:
- Prime CARPRO Gloss Pad with Essence Plus.
- Apply with no pressure in multiple overlapping passes on speed 1-3 across 24” x 24” (60cm x 60cm) section.
- Clean pad with brush and apply 3 pea size drops to the pad.
- Move to next section and repeat steps 2-3.
How do you apply Carpro reflect?
Directions:
- Apply very thin half moon 1″ from outside circumference of pad.
- Spread product on low speed across section with one pass.
- Increase speed to around 4-5 on a dual action machine.
- As Reflects diminishing abrasives break down, lighten pressure and/or speed and continue to work until invisible.
When can I use clear coat after rubbing compound?
If you have recently applied clear coat to a paint job, it’s time to buff it out to a high shine. Clear coat should be allowed to harden for at least 24 hours before attempting to use a buffer. In most cases, you will be trying to remove “orange peel” when buffing a new paint job.
